my name is Marcella and you can best describe me as true traveling foodie. Nothing makes my boyfriend Jeremy and I happier than traveling combined with good food (besides the love for each other and for Billie, our cat)
So how did I start with Holy Cookies? Once upon a time there was a lockdown... who doesn't remember. After tackling our entire apartment from top to bottom, reading seventeen books and giving a life as 'Sporty Spice' a chance, I ended up in our kitchen.
We had been on a city trip to New York City in January 2020 and during the lockdown we still dreamed about the delicious cookies from 'Levain Bakery'. We couldn't find these kind of cookies in Belgium so I started baking them myself. I started handing out the cookies to friends, the neighbours, Jeremy's training buddies, etc. The reactions were so incredibly positive that I decided to do something with it.
The official Holy Cookies webshop finally opened on the 1st of July and in a pretty short time our apartment became too small for all the orders. Our kitchen was completely taken over by the chocolate, bags of flour and the piles of butter in our fridge. So I started looking for another place for Holy Cookies which I found in the centre of Antwerp!
My goal is to make everyone as happy as we are when we eat good and honest food. So I hope you enjoy the cookies as much as I do and don't forget; count your blessings, not your calories!
